1. Allow Yourself to Feel

Suppressing emotions delays hearing. let yourself cry, grieve, get angry-it’s valid

2. Create a Safe Space

Whether it’s physical space or mental boundary, safety is essential for healing.

3. Replace Shame with Self-Compassion

Remind yourself: What happened to me is not my fault.

4. Reconnect with Your Body

Try gentle activities like stretching, walking, or breath work to reestablish trust with your body.

5. Journal Your Truth

Writing helps release emotions and track your healing journey. Start with: “ Today I choose peace because…”

6. Use Affrimations Daily

Examples:

” I am worthy of love and safety.”

” My past does not define me.”

7. Set Small Achievable Goals

Little wins build self-confidence and momentum.

8. Limit Exposure to Triggers

Give yourself permission to unfollow, block, or step away from people and content that disrupt your peace.

9. Surround Yourself with Supportive Voices

Whether it’s a trusted friend, therapist, or an online survivor community-connection helps.

10. Celebrate Your Progress 

Healing isn’t linear. Every step forward- no matter how small- is a victory.
